Every hotel has a kitchen with its own name and its own menu. Faifo Restaurant at MONEA Le Belhamy, the chef's menu at MONEA The Nest, Chef Carmen at MONEA Royal Mónica. Local produce, recipes of the place, no chain menu.
An African team in Zanzibar, Vietnamese in Hội An, Canarian in Lanzarote. No corporate rotation from country to country — the people who welcome you were born near the hotel.
No mechanical check-in. There is a welcome cocktail of the destination — spices in Zanzibar, lemongrass in Vietnam, malvasía in Lanzarote — and a tour of your room with the person who makes it for you.
A sunrise market with the chef, volcanic vineyards with the sommelier, a pilau or phở cooking class, tailoring in Hội An, a dhow at sunset. The hotel is the door, not the wall.
A holiday resort isn't sold as an auteur boutique. A boutique isn't reduced to a "small resort". Royal Mónica is a family holiday resort, and proud of it. The Nest is a boutique, and proud of it. Every hotel knows what it is.
