What data we process
We process the data you provide through the forms on this website: name, email, telephone (optional), hotel or destination of interest, dates and number of guests, and the content of your message. We also process browsing data if you accept analytics or marketing cookies (see the cookie policy).
For what purpose
To respond to your enquiry and route it to the relevant MONEA hotel, so that it is that establishment which handles your potential booking, and —if you consent— to measure use of the site. We do not carry out automated decision-making with legal effects.
Legal basis
Consent: the consent you give when submitting the form and when accepting analytics or marketing cookies.
Pre-contractual steps: handling your request for information about a possible stay. The accommodation contract, if it comes to exist, is entered into with the hotel and governed by its own conditions.
Legitimate interest: site security and the handling of enquiries.
Retention
We retain your data for as long as necessary to handle your request and, if you end up staying with us, for the applicable statutory periods (tax and tourism legislation). Afterwards, the data is deleted or anonymised.
Job applications
If you write to us from the careers page, we process the data you give us (name, email, the hotel you are interested in and your message, and your CV if you send it later) to assess your application in the recruitment processes of the hotels in the group. The legal basis is your consent and the taking, at your request, of pre-contractual steps. We share it only with the hotel you are applying to. We keep it for a maximum of twelve months from your last contact and then delete it; you can ask us to delete it sooner.
Recipients
We do not disclose your data to third parties except where required by law. Where an enquiry relates to a specific hotel in the group, the data is shared internally with that establishment so that it can handle it. Technology providers (site hosting, email and analytics) act as data processors under contractual safeguards.
International transfers
If you accept analytics cookies, the analytics provider may process data outside the European Economic Area under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Likewise, some hotels in the group operate outside the EEA (Zanzibar, Vietnam); processing carried out by those establishments is performed with the appropriate safeguards.
Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to legal@monea.com, stating the right you wish to exercise and enclosing a copy of an identity document.
Complaints
If you consider that the processing does not comply with the applicable regulations, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD), at www.aepd.es.
Security
We apply technical and organisational measures (HTTPS encryption, access control, data minimisation) to protect your information against unauthorised access.
