"No marble, with soul."

MONEA Tribu is the boldest sub-brand of the trilogy — because it's the one that has to prove the MONEA DNA doesn't depend on price. Local materials, honest cooking, a team that remembers your name, an arrival ritual, zero plastic: the same seal across every MONEA hotel. Only the intensity of the service changes.

The Tribu traveller is the one who doesn't need marble to feel good. They'd rather have a coffee at the neighbourhood bar than three-course room service. They want a hotel with history — a restored building, salvaged furniture, art by local artists. They want excellent wifi, real cooking, a good bed and someone to tell them where to have breakfast.

Tribu hotels are urban and semi-urban, in cities with a neighbourhood. Lisbon, Porto, Valencia, Bilbao, Seville, Naples, Mexico City, Mérida. Places where the hotel is the base and the city is the star.

WHAT DEFINES TRIBU

Six standards with no fake luxury.

01

Good design

Restored buildings, salvaged or locally designed furniture, art by artists from the area. Not IKEA design or the generic chain-hotel look.

02

Honest breakfast

No giant buffet. A communal table with bread from the neighbourhood bakery, coffee from a local roaster, eggs from the market, seasonal fruit. What you'd have at home.

03

Neighbourhood concierge

The team lives in the area. They know where to have the last vermouth, which bakery opens on Sunday, which bookshop is worth it. They send you into their life, not the tourist's.

04

Wifi that works

Fibre, 500 Mbps minimum, across the whole property. Coworking in some houses. Because working from Tribu has to be possible — not a sacrifice.

05

Honest essential amenities

No Diptyque or Aesop — that's Atelier. But no generic little plastic bottles either. Local artisan soap, plant oil of the destination.

06

A good bed

A real mattress. Quality pillows. 200-thread-count sheets minimum. Because at the end of the day, the one thing that's truly non-negotiable is sleeping well.

"At Tribu there's no breakfast menu. There's a big table, bread from the bakery across the street, coffee from Hola Coffee, eggs from the market, seasonal fruit. If you want something else, you head down to the square. Almost nobody does."
