The Poolside Villa at The Nest is a ground-floor room designed so the line between inside and out simply dissolves. The bathroom is open-air, with a tub beneath the Zanzibar sky. The private terrace opens onto the dense tropical garden, with palms that brush the woven-palm roof. The canopied King bed is closed each night with a handmade mosquito net from Stone Town. The decor blends pieces from Zanzibar's markets with contemporary African art: no generic prints, no catalogue textiles. Everything comes from this place.

The bathroom is open to the sky. The tub is carved coral stone from Bagamoyo, set beneath the natural light of the Zanzibar sky. The water runs warm even in the small hours — the tanks are solar with electric back-up. In the late afternoon, as the sun drops, the hotel team leaves a handmade citronella candle on the sill. It's the bathroom that's reason enough to come back.
The sitting area opens straight onto the terrace. People read there. Digital nomads work there. Lovers watch the fireflies there.

The B&B rate includes breakfast at The Nest's restaurant. Bread baked that morning, fresh tropical fruit cut to order. The daily menu rotates: fresh pasta, coconut curry, wood-fired pizza. Cocktails mixed in front of you at the beach bar. A menu with vegetarian options.
