One hundred and sixty square metres on a single storey, with direct sea views over Hà My Beach and a private terrace. The Belhamy's couples' choice — the natural step up to the Private Pool Sea View.
Space treated as a service in its own right.
The Villa Ocean View is the most balanced room at the Belhamy. It has no private pool — that's what its bigger sisters are for — but it has a layout few Vietnamese hotels allow themselves: one hundred and sixty square metres with a separate bedroom, a living room with a large sofa and a full bathroom with bathtub. The terrace faces straight out to sea and guests can choose between a king bed or two single beds, whatever the trip calls for. Soft tropical materials, sand-toned microcement walls, rattan ceiling fans that keep turning even when the air conditioning is off.

“The living room became our favourite room. We napped on the sofa and forgot all about the bed a couple of afternoons.”
The living room is what sets this villa apart from a large room. A modular sofa upholstered in local Hà Đông silk, a low table of unvarnished mango wood, a jute rug woven by a cooperative in Bến Tre. In the morning the light comes straight off the sea; in the afternoon it filters through the garden palms. The Belhamy team leaves a carafe of jasmine water and two white ceramic glasses every day at four.
The television is there, but discreetly built into a teak column. The idea: you only see it if you look for it. More often than not, you'll spend the afternoons reading or watching the sea.

A white ceramic freestanding bathtub against a sand-toned microcement wall. Separate rain shower. Double basin, round lacquered-frame mirror, microcement floor. The acoustics are considered: the bathroom is sealed off from the living room by a jackfruit-wood sliding door that closes flush.
The toiletries are the same as in the villas with pools — Tô Châu of Hội An. Ginger body lotion, lotus shampoo, coconut-milk soap. The team replaces the bottles twice a week even when they're not finished.
