Everything the Standard Family offers — two spaces, private balcony, upper floors — with the uninterrupted view over the Atlantic that shifts three times an hour.
The room with the finest view for a whole family.
The Sea View Family is the Standard Family with a horizon added. Same layout — a separate bedroom with two single beds, a living area with a sofa bed, a private balcony on an upper floor — but the balcony opens straight onto the Atlantic rather than the garden. For families who want each of the four to have their own moment looking out to sea: the children early in the morning, the parents at sunset, everyone together at aperitivo hour. The balcony becomes the most-lived-in space of the stay. The bedroom bed, almost an afterthought.

“We came with two children and a fifteen-year-old nephew. The three of them would sit on the balcony in silence, just watching the sea. And so did we. It's the best hotel room we've ever stayed in.”

The Sea View Family balcony has a table for 4 plus two loungers laid out side by side. The layout lets two people sit at the table while the other two stretch out — without anyone getting in the way. Sunrises at 7:30 from the bed (jet-lagged guests make the most of them), sunsets at 19:00 from the balcony (everyone else).
When the trade wind picks up (typically April to October), the balcony becomes the cool corner of the room. The family has breakfast there, naps, reads. The inner room is left as a bedroom, pure and simple.
— The Atlantic, seen from the bedroom bed. No railing in the way.
By 48 hours into the stay, most guests stop consciously hearing the waves. They turn into white noise, a backdrop. They only notice once they're home and start to miss the sound. The Royal Mónica receives emails with this exact remark at least twice a week.
The hotel team leaves a 30-minute digital recording of the Playa Blanca waves as a farewell gift — an MP3 guests can download at check-out. A small touch, never advertised; those who download it tend to come back the following year.
