Some rooms are designed for a family. This one was designed for several generations.
The Two-Bedroom Family Room is the largest room at the Royal Mónica. Two separate bedrooms (each with twin beds, some with a double depending on the floor), a living area with a double sofa bed in the middle that divides the two private zones, and a furnished private balcony overlooking the Atlantic. Conceived for larger families with teenage children, grandparents travelling with the couple and the grandchildren, or three couples holidaying together. The overall space is generous, but the layout is what matters: two genuinely private zones separated by a shared living area. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom, its own mini-fridge, its own television.

“We came with the grandparents, my sister and her husband, and the two of us with our two children. The kids had their own room, the grandparents the other, and my sister and us took the sofa bed. It worked perfectly. We've already booked the same room for next year.”
The central living area is what sets this room apart from two adjoining rooms. It isn't a corridor — it's a shared space: a large sofa, a low table, a television, a dedicated mini-fridge. In the morning, the two generations meet here for coffee together before heading down to the beach. In the evening, they gather to dine after a day across Lanzarote (an outing to Timanfaya, La Geria, Famara).
The balcony opens straight onto the sea. It comfortably holds the whole family, with chairs, a table and two loungers. If the two generations would rather dine outside, the Royal Mónica team brings up an extra round table — at no charge — provided you ask two hours ahead.

Each bedroom has its own separate full bathroom. This is no small detail — it's what lets the whole family head down to breakfast at 9:00 with no queues, no waiting, no taking turns. In large rooms with a single bathroom, getting everyone out the door takes twice as long.
Both bathrooms are fitted alike: a shower (no tub), a double basin, polished concrete, unlacquered brass. The amenities are the same as the Famara workshop's — aloe, Majorero goat's-milk soap, cactus-extract shampoo.
